How to Make Pregnancy-Safe Mocktails All Summer

Start with a caffeine-free herbal tea, add fresh fruit, herbs, citrus, and top with sparkling water. Keep sugar modest and taste as you go.

Third Trimester Tea Raspberry Smash

A pool-side refresher starring red raspberry leaf and nettle in our Bottom of the 9th herbal blend.

Ingredients

  • 1 tsp Bottom of the 9th Herbal Tea (steeped and cooled)
  • 1 tsp fresh lime juice
  • 1/4 cup raspberries
  • 3–4 fresh mint leaves
  • 1 1/2 oz sparkling water
  • 1/4 tsp simple syrup or preferred sweetener (optional)
  • Ice

Instructions

  1. Steep 1/2 cup Bottom of the 9th for 1–2 minutes; cool.
  2. Muddle raspberries and mint in a glass.
  3. Add lime juice and sweetener if using.
  4. Fill with ice, pour in cooled tea, and top with sparkling water.

Breastfeeding Herbal Tea Mo’ Milk Mojito

A lightly fruity mint cooler to sip during breastfeeding. If you are pregnant, choose a pregnancy-safe tea instead of lactation blends unless your provider says otherwise.

Ingredients

  • 1 tsp Lactation Herbal Tea (steeped and cooled)
  • 1 tbsp blackberries
  • 2 chopped strawberries
  • 3 chopped mint leaves
  • 1/2 tsp lime juice
  • 1 1/2 oz sparkling water
  • Ice

Instructions

  1. Steep 1/2 cup Lactation Herbal Tea for 1–2 minutes; cool.
  2. Muddle berries and mint in a cocktail glass.
  3. Add ice, cooled tea, lime juice, and sparkling water. Stir and garnish with mint.

Labor Prep Tea Mint Watermelon Mocktail

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 tsp Bottom of the 9th Tea (steeped and cooled)
  • 1/2 lime
  • 1/3 cup watermelon cubes
  • 4 mint leaves
  • 1 tsp agave nectar
  • 4 oz sparkling water
  • Ice

Instructions

  1. Brew tea (about 3/4 cup water) using a tea strainer for about 3 minutes; cool.
  2. Muddle watermelon and mint in a glass.
  3. Add lime juice, then agave. Add 6–8 ice cubes.
  4. Pour in cooled tea and top with sparkling water. Sip and enjoy.

Lavender Ginger Collins for Morning Sickness

Ingredients

  • 1 tsp Happy Mornings Herbal Tea (steeped and cooled)
  • 2 tsp dried lavender, muddled
  • 2 tsp ginger syrup
  • 1/2 oz lemon juice
  • 3–4 fresh mint leaves
  • 1 1/2 oz sparkling water
  • Ice

Instructions

  1. Steep 1/2 cup Happy Mornings Herbal Tea for 1–2 minutes; cool.
  2. Muddle lavender.
  3. Combine tea, ginger syrup, and lemon juice in a glass.
