On clean skin, once you notice stretch marks dab a pea-sized amount on stretch marks. Allow drying completely before applying a stretch mark prevention cream, moisturizer, or getting dressed. For maximum stretch mark prevention, follow with The Spoiled Mama’s  Belly Butter for Stretch Marks.

Tips:

  • This  stretch mark serum may increase your skin’s sensitivity to the sun, particularly the possibility of sunburn. Use sunscreen and limit sun exposure while using this product, and for a week after.
  • The pregnancy stretch marks removal serum is most effective on new stretch marks.
  • While stretch marks are new, stay out of the sun and tanning beds.
  • Help your skin heal by staying hydrated and eating a well-balanced diet with adequate amounts of vitamins E and C.
  • The best way to prevent  stretch marks during pregnancy is early treatment with serums, postpartum stretch mark creams, and oils.

*The  FDA approves retinol (vitamin A) during pregnancy with daily limits of 1.5 mg. This serum contains 0.5% retinol and does not exceed the FDA’s recommendation when applied as a spot treatment. Please discuss with your doctor or OBGYN which treatment will work best for you.

FAQ

It says that this product is safe to use while breastfeeding. I have stretch marks on my breasts, is it safe to use while I'm feeding my baby? I won't be applying it on the nipple but the stretch marks are all over the rest of my breasts.

Our products are made specifically for pregnant, postpartum, and breastfeeding moms. You can trust all of our ingredients have been carefully selected just for you during this wonderful time.

ReModel is safe to use while breastfeeding; however, we recommend *not* to place it directly on or near your nipples prior to breastfeeding. I would suggest asking your OB or pediatrician since all moms are different and your OB or pediatrician would be the best person to ask.

Isn't vitamin A prohibited during pregnancy? so how come it's one of the ingredients

We appreciate our savvy Mamas out there who make an effort to feel Spoiled with only the safest products for themselves and their babes!

There's also a lot of confusing misinformation about the use of retinol (vitamin A) during pregnancy, but don’t worry, Mama, our Tummy Butter is absolutely safe to use! The issues regarding vitamin A have to do with synthetic retinoids, such as Accutane. They have been shown to cause miscarriages and birth defects. Another concern is the safety of using rosehip oil during pregnancy because of its vitamin A content. People have taken these studies one step further and have cautioned against using topical retinoids such as Retinol as well.

There is a huge difference between trans-retinoic acid found in rosehip oil and the potent, synthetic versions that have inundated the anti-aging skincare market. It’s the same difference between taking Accutane and eating kale, broccoli, and spinach (all contain retinoids). I have absolutely no concerns about pregnant and nursing women using rosehip oil on a regular basis, and many women have found it helpful in preventing and reversing stretch marks.

I always recommend, while expecting and trying new products, to have your healthcare provider look over them. If you have any further concerns, please feel free to print the product ingredients list from the product page to take or fax to your OB/GYN or pediatrician for their opinion on what they feel is best for you and your baby.

Will this work on old stretch marks? I have them on my boobs and although some has turned silver, most of them are still purple and red. I have never used anything for the stretch marks, like coconut oil so they are pretty bad. I don’t want them to look as noticeable, but I don’t really know what I should do or what I should get to minimize them so that they are very noticeable.

The Spoiled Mama's Tummy Butter and ReModel have shown great results for existing and postpartum stretch marks and scars. Every mama is different - many factors are involved. It can depend if yours are still red or purple, if they have been exposed to the sun, etc. Please keep in mind that stretch marks are permanent scars and will never completely go away but they can fade into almost invisible silvery lines. Again, each individual is different, and we encourage you to try samples if you are unsure how your skin may react. Is the stretch mark serum safe to use while pregnant? What’s the best way to go about preventing stretch marks, do you use this product first and put the tummy butter on right after? Or is this a product you only use before bed? Just trying to figure out the steps for usage of both products during the same time.

We recommend using our Tummy Butter at least 2x's daily for at least 8 weeks (best results if used within 6-8 weeks after birth and/or when stretch marks first appeared). In addition, alternate treating your marks using our Remodel Serum (1x daily in conjunction with Tummy Butter). You should apply ReModel Serum first as a spot treatment and massage the serum into the stretch mark(s) until absorbed. Once absorbed, apply Tummy Butter. When treating your stretch marks, massage each individual stretch mark as you apply products for the best results. I also recommend staying out of the sun and/or tanning beds to help your stretch marks heal properly. *The FDA approves retinol (vitamin A) during pregnancy with daily limits of 1.5 mg. This serum contains .5% retinol and does not exceed the FDA’s recommendation when applied as a spot treatment. Please discuss with your doctor or OBGYN about which treatment will work best for you.
